I really don’t go out often since my work requires to stay at home as a home based Virtual Assistant. I go out when I do the groceries and if I have important events to attend. And when I go out, I always opt for skin care and cosmetic products with SPF. Even the sunlight is obviously not too harsh, I make sure I wear sunblock and use foundations, bb cream or powder with SPF. It is very common that we all know why we need protection from the sun due to the damage it can cause to our skin like wrinkles, age spots and skin discolorations.
Lately, I have been loving to use a bb cream perfect for everyday use.
Product: Heroine Make Protect UV Mineral BB Cream SPF50+ PA+++
Where to buy: Available in selected Watsons stores and SM Malls
What I like:
The dewy effect neither look nor feel greasy.
Very lightweight, doesn’t feel you have bb cream on.
Wearable even on humid weather.
SPF 50+ PA+++
It doesn’t settle on fine lines.
No strange scent, no scent at all.
Stays in place for hours. The maximum number of hours I wear this bb cream is 5 hours and my face is still good to go. I topped it off with Nichido powder.
It did not irritate my skin.
Smooth and luminous effect
What I don’t like:
Only Available in selected Watsons stores.
Not enough coverage.
Limited shades, 2 shades available.
Not recommended for oily skin.
A bit pricey.
The brand Heroine Make is a brand that originally came from Japan. This bb cream has 30g of the product on one tube. It comes in two shades, I got the darkest shade.
This is a bb cream perfect for summer not only because of the SPF50+ PA+++ but because the staying power is awesome. I tried to wear it last holy week and my makeup still stays in place. Maybe the loose powder I top off with it also helps but I really admire this bb cream because it doesn’t easily melt even on humid weather. It has an instant brightening effect which I really love because it makes me look more blooming and radiant most especially outdoor.
The coverage is light to medium. It evens out skintone by helping get rid off the redness. However, you may want to use concealers to cover up your too obvious pimple scars and blemishes. Because this bb cream doesn’t do the job of covering up your pimple scars.
The dewy finish is anything but greasy. I like the dewy effect that almost similar to korean actors I see on TV.
A pea sized of this bb cream definitely goes a long way and good enough to cover my whole face. I don’t really put a second layer because that might feel a little heavy on my face. But one application of this bb cream feels so light on my face, doesn’t feel like you are wearing bb cream at all.
And since it has a dewy finish, I don’t recommend this for those who suffers with oily skin. Don’t expect anything about oil control with this bb cream, so if you have an oily skin you better use primer and a good setting powder. Lastly, bring your best weapon which is your ever trusted blotting paper.
Overall, I love this bb cream and I see myself buying another tube before I ran out of this one, just to be safe. 😀
This is definitely a summer must-have for me!
