One of the things I missed doing is writing a product review! I know it has been awhile, again! I don’t wanna bore you all with my explanation by what I have been up to the past weeks or months since it has always been the same reason. So, without further ado, today’s post is a product review of a foundation from Revlon. This post should have been posted two months ago, yeah I am busy like that.
Moving on, Revlon has good reputation as far as my experience goes. I only have few makeups from Revlon but they all worked pretty well. As always, I don’t want to get my hopes up but I trusted this will perform as good as the other makeups that I own from the same brand.
Product: Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in 200 Warm Beige
No pump bottle for a foundation is a big no for me. I tend to get more product than I supposedly needed. Since its a bottle, it has extra weight. Tight lid, won’t spill.
Scent and Texture:
I find the texture a bit watery. No odd scent, but my nose picks up a bit of a nice scent.
If I want a flawless and more natural looking finish, I use stippling brush. Its actually easy to blend either you use stippling brush or your fingers. I just think applying using your fingers uses more effort and can get a little bit messy sometimes. Stippling brush makes applying this foundation easier for me.
If you are into light to medium coverage foundation, this one is perfect for you. The finish is neither cakey nor sticky. Just enough satin finish which I really love. This shade Warm Beige has yellow undertone. This is perfect for someone with dry skin like me. I even don’t feel the need to top it with powder sometimes because of lovely finish.
What I like:
Lovely satin finish
Perfect shade for my skintone
Natural looking finish
Light on skin.
What I don’t like:
It is not the best foundation I own but I really love it and been using frequently whenever I had the chance to go out. This is very blendable and very easy to work with. You can go from light to medium coverage. As you can see from the photo above, it doesn’t fully cover up redness. However, you can tell somehow it has covered up the bags under my eyes. It feels like I am not wearing any foundation at all, thats how light it feels. It is perfect to wear at daytime since it has protection from the sun, SPF 20. I feel it stays on for a little more 8 hours, topped with powder. I recommend this foundation if you are not into heavy coverage foundations. Also, this is for someone who has dry and combination skin. It doesn’t sit on face lines and doesn’t cling on dry patches of my skin.
Have you already tried this Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation? Pls share your thoughts!
