W-Lab W-SNOW Black Hall Cushion Review

I would like to apologize for not posting this up a little earlier, there are so many things going on in my mommy life. Well, I got a lot of product review posts in my draft folder and I will be posting one at a time, don’t worry!

This is my first ever cushion, to be honest. I want to know the hype behind Korean cushions. I have been seeing a lot of great results from beauty bloggers and vloggers, so I just have to try myself. I got this W-Lab Snow BB Cushion from my W.Lab Beauty Box, you can read my post here. It contains 15g, priced at P800 in Althea website.

As what I can tell, all W.Lab cosmetics come in black boxes. The travel-friendly compact is black as well, with semi-matte texture, and it feels sturdy. It securely locks up, plus one for that. I like the color since it looks a lot more high-end. It comes with a perfect sized mirror and a thin, soft sponge.

Application is a piece of cake, make sure your sponge gets enough product and gently pat on your face. This cushion claims to get rid of greasy coverage. It gives you a flawlessly perfect coverage. It contains sebum-control powder to control both sebum and oil and to display oil-controlled, clean skin. It has triple functional cosmetics; whitening, wrinkle-free, and sunblock. This product is also perfect for sensitive skin, contains herb as ingredient.

Heres how it looks like when applied.

with cushion / bare face

It has a dewy finish but not greasy. My face feels sticky, something that I expected since it is a cushion. Medium coverage, covers lots of little imperfections, and helps disguise redness around the nose and discoloration. I don’t think there is a need to wear concealer though because I really don’t have anything to conceal anymore. My dark circle can appear unnoticeable by properly building up and dabbing the sponge on that area.

I tried applying concealer but it cakes up regardless you put the concealer before or after your cushion.  Don’t layer it with bb cream because your makeup will end up cakey and there is no way you can fix it anymore.

As you can tell, the darkest shade still appears light for my skin tone. I was hoping the cushion will set or oxidize but it did not.  I don’t like the sticky feels so for me, it is best to dust a loose powder over the cushion. Take note that my skin type is combination to dry. This cushion is just perfect for me, I just had to use loose powder. The powder shade has to be a little darker so my face won’t look awkward lighter. You just have to build up to achieve that Korean natural dewy look. It is easy to blend, but takes too long to set on your skin.

Final thoughts:

I am not disappointed at all. I like the dewy finish, it gives that natural Korean dewy look. I like that it can cover my imperfections. I am happy with how I look like after application. I just cannot stand a sticky face when the weather is hot, so I really prefer to wear loose powder. Once applied, avoid touching your face because there is a tendency it moves around which is quite a hassle. But once you set it with loose powder, it stays right there.

Not anytime soon, I’d like to try other cushions.
